BGP Consulting to Participate in the 16th Annual Pan African Lawyers Union Conference in Cairo

From 31 August to 2 September 2026, BGP Consulting Transport and Asset Finance practice experts - Partner Vladislav Rikov, Senior Associate Evgeny Shilyakov, and Junior Associate Elena Beibekova - will participate in the 16th Annual Conference of the Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU), a key professional event bringing together members of the legal community from Africa and other regions.

Theme: “The African Lawyer in the Age of AI: Leveraging Technology to Achieve a Just and Prosperous Africa”.

The conference will address the impact of artificial intelligence and digital technologies on the legal profession, prospects for the development of legal practice, and current issues at the intersection of law, justice, and technology. The agenda will also cover commercial law, regional trade, human rights, and the development of the legal profession.

The conference will bring together lawyers, judges, heads of professional legal associations, government representatives, members of academia, in-house counsel, and representatives of international organisations from African countries and other regions.

The conference is organised by the Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU), a pan-African professional organisation bringing together national and regional bar associations and individual members of the legal community.
