Maxim Kuzmin

Maxim has fifteen years of experience in representing clients before Russian courts and in international arbitration (including proceedings under LCIA, DIAC, ICC, SCC, SAC, SIAC, PCA and ICAC at the RCCI Rules), as well as coordinating litigation in foreign courts. His areas of specialisation include disputes related to the complex technological projects, disputes arising from M&A transactions, as well as foreign economic activity in general. He handles forensic investigations and asset searches worldwide, including developing strategies for seizing assets, gathering evidence and enforcing arbitral and court decisions abroad.

Since 2022, Maxim is part of the Middle East Desk and advises the clients in relation to arbitration and litigation in the UAE courts and arbitral institutions. Maxim has recently completed the matters, in which the Russian judgment was for the first time recognised and enforced in the UAE and then the UAE judgment was for the first time recognised and enforced in Russia. Maxim has contributed country-specific insights for Global Arbitration Review’s (GAR) editions.
