Sergey has more than 15 years of experience in complex cross-border dispute resolution and international investment and commercial arbitration.

He represents both sovereigns and investors in investment disputes, acts for clients in ad hoc and institutional arbitrations (ICC, LCIA, ICSID, SCC, LMAA, DIAC, HKIAC, SIAC, SAC, and others), in maritime disputes, and in litigation in Canada, Europe, India, Russia, Switzerland, the UK, Bermuda, BVI, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, the UAE, and the USA with a combined total value over US$80 billion. He also serves as an arbitrator.

Admitted to practice in Russia and New York. Sergey's impressive track record, paired with dual qualification, allows him to navigate the GCC’s unique interplay of civil law and common law with confidence and precision.

Prior to joining BGP Consulting, he worked at international law firms in Russia and the USA, and as in-house counsel for public and private clients
Sergey graduated from the Faculty of Law at Lomonosov Moscow State University and earned an LL.M. from Pepperdine University School of Law in California, USA
