What was done
We advised a private client on establishing a global structure for the ownership, leasing and operation of marine vessels, aircraft and vehicles, with enhanced asset protection at its core.
The engagement included creating an Oman-based holding and operating platform consolidating the client's transport assets, structuring a sale-and-leaseback mechanism for the transfer of assets to dedicated single-purpose subsidiaries, and implementing bespoke operating models - aircraft operational management, vessel management arrangements and vehicle leasing structures.
Result
The client received a dedicated international transport asset platform delivering full legal control over the fleet, effective risk segregation between asset classes, and a flexible framework for owning and operating aircraft, vessels and vehicles across multiple jurisdictions.
